DESCRIPTION:*REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.\nPREMEETING ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2024\nIN PERSON AT CAMP DURANT, SEPTEMBER 27-29, 2024\nThe Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) course builds and expands on the concepts and\nthemes introduced in Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training and provides Scouters with the\nconfidence to take youth into the outdoors. Specifically, this hands-on program gives adult leaders a\npractical introduction to the patrol method of a Scout-led troop by teaching many of the practical\noutdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors.\nNOTE: IOLS is required for all Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Venturing Advisors to be considered BSA-trained in addition to the position-specific training for that position.\nTraining: Pre-meeting: September 18 at 7:00 pm on Zoom, Outdoor Experience: September 27-29 at Camp Durant.\nCourse fee: $40.00 – which includes snacks, Saturday meals, hand-out materials, and training card.\nQuestions?
