SUMMARY:Let’s Go Hiking!
DESCRIPTION:Let’s Go Hiking!\nAll girls 10-17 years old from anywhere in our Council service area are invited to join us on a hike where you can enjoy nature and spend time with friends – and maybe make some new ones! The hike is from Falls Lake Tailrace Parking, 12101 Old Falls of Neuse Rd. Wake Forest, NC 27587 to Honeycutt Trail Head, 11724 Ravens Ridge Rd. Raleigh, NC 27614. This is an approximately 3.3-mile hike, and we will leave promptly at 1:15 p.m. from the parking lot. There will be a lot of fun to be had along the way as we check out the sites along the Mountain to Sea Trail!\nPlease RSVP to nctroop321G@gmail.com ( mailto:nctroop321G@gmail.com ) with your name, phone, email, scout/scouter position/rank if applicable and age/grade. There is no cost to participate, and we just want you to dress accordingly and bring your hiking stick and a smile! We look forward to seeing you there!\nHiking logistics:\n*Dress for the weather, layers are best, sunglasses are a good bet\n*Hat, gloves, fleece, coat, rain jacket, hot hands for pockets (be prepared for the weather)\n*BOOTS are the best for hiking\n*If no boots, then something they can hike in for a couple of hours that will keep the feet warm, laces that tie, warm socks preferably wool as cotton gets cold if it gets wet\n*DAY PACK required (they will carry their own stuff)\n*Water for the hike, there is no refill on the hike so please be prepared\n*SNACKS – No charge for this hike, so please be sure to send 2 or more snacks. We will have a couple of breaks and recharge with our own water, and snacks really help\n*Scouts should bring their 10 essentials. Webelos and AOLs should bring their 6 essentials. Check your Scout book for details.
